| INTRODUCTION |
| Framed SMT Stencils or glue-in stencils are laser cut solder paste stencil foils permanently mounted in a stencil frame using a mesh border to tightly stretch the stencil foil tight in the frame. The Stencil frame holds the stencil and mounts into the print system. Framed SMT Stencils are designed for high volume screen printing on printed circuit boards. All of our laser cut stencils provide optimum solder paste volume control and outstanding release. Framed SMT Stencils have smooth aperture walls and can be used for 16 Mil pitch and below and for Micro BGA"s.

| MATERIAL |
The Slic™ material has been proven to outperform the industry standard stainless steel material. Slic™ has the mechanical and thermal properties of industry standard stainless steel, yet offers superior paste release due to the makeup of this material. Print studies have verified improved paste roll activation, smoother walls and better release. Further study results show significant improvements to aperture wall smoothness, which translates to enhanced printed deposits.
Slic™ stencils incorporate a base material with a denser grain structure that results in fewer voids, smoother aperture walls, and provides the same tensile and yield strength as stainless steel material. Slic™ significantly outperformed the standard stainless steel and alloy/invar material available in most of today’s stencils.
Slic™ stencils have repeatability of ±16 µm and are suitable for applications with surface area ratios of 0.55 and above. Featuring a positional accuracy of ±12.5 µm (over 600 x 600 mm) and an aperture dimensional tolerance of ±9 µm, the following standard material thicknesses are available: 0.004, 0.005, 0.006, 0.007, 0.008, 0.009 and 0.010". Additional thicknesses are available upon request.
