Slic-Blade Squeegee Blade
|
| INTRODUCTION |
| Fine Line Stencil's Slic-Blade process
uses electroformed nickel which produces a very hard, smooth surface which
addresses the rheology problems associated with less dense, lead-free and no-clean pastes. These pastes have a tendency to cling to conventional unpolished blades, resulting in paste hang-up at the end of the print stroke, thereby reducing the paste bead on subsequent print strokes. This improved paste-roll characteristic, aided by reduced surface tension, also extends the printing life of the paste. The precision honed edge reduces the wiping pressure required, extending the life of the stencil and blade. |
| MATERIAL |
| The Slic Blade™, is solid nickel, and will not chip or flake as coated blades do (slide finger nail along the edge of each a blade and observe edge quality). This allows the Slic Blade™ to be re-sharpened when it becomes dull, lowering Cost of Ownership. |

ATTRIBUTES |
PRINTING |
- 100% Electroformed Nickel
- Will not chip or flake
- Low wiping pressure
- Longest blade life
- Enhanced stencil life
|
By using smooth, low surface energy electroformed with a precision-ground, sharp blade edge, the ideal printing environment is achieved. Thus lower print pressure will be required. Higher print speeds can be obtained. Longer blade life and stencil life will be observed because there is much less stress on both blade edge and stencil. Combine these features with the ability to resharpen and have dual edge design and the ultimate blade is at hand, at a substantial cost savings |
